DJ AM, also known as Adam Goldstein, died unexpectedly on 28 August 2009. He was 36 years of age and did not leave a Will, but he left an estate valued at approximately £3.5 million at the date of his death. Adam was not married and didn’t have any children. His mother received his estate as his closest living relative.
Once again, age appears to be a factor for not making a Will. By making a Will, you are ensuring that your assets pass to who you want to receive them and not dictated by who the Intestacy rules say should receive them. It’s never too early to safeguard your loved ones should they outlive you – make your final wishes known.
