The mother of April Jones is outraged that her daughter’s killer Mark Bridger is pursuing a compensation claim of up to £15000 after he was injured in a prison attack.
Coral Jones told The Sun: “It’s disgusting that Bridger could get money after what he has done. He’s killed a little girl and ruined our lives and he wants money for a cut on his face he shouldn’t get a thing. Where’s he going to spend it anyway?”
Mr Bridger who is currently serving a life sentence for the abduction and murder of five-year-old April was injured in a prison attack after another inmate slashed him across his face with makeshift blade.
He has now instructed his solicitors to try and claim compensation for the emotional and physical effects of the attack The Sun have claimed.

Bridger is serving his sentence in Wakefield prison. He had only just been permitted to mix with other inmates when convicted murderer Juvinal Ferreria cut him with a Bic razor blade which needed 40 stitches.
A Prison Service spokeswoman said: “We robustly defend all compensation claims from prisoners.”
