Chest pains are very common and are one of the most common reasons people will attend their GP surgery and hospital. Chest pain may feel like a sharp, stabbing pain or even a dull ache. These could all could be a sign of a serious condition such as a heart attack, but could also be due to a less-common cause that is not life threatening. Such symptoms should always be investigated with a medical practitioner.
There are a number of risk factors that could cause chest disease, including the environment you work in and chemicals you may well be exposed to during employment.
