Two Doctors Arrested As Boy Dies Due To Medical Negligence

Dev Sharma 9 was taken to a hospital in Ghaziabad Inida after complaining about a pain in his finger. His father stated that his son had a corn in his left hand and on seeing it doctors sent him for an operation.

After his surgery Sharma was still complaining about being in pain and was given three doses of injections before being shifted to a ventilator. Within an hour he was declared dead. The boy has reportedly died from a drug overdose.

Two doctors SS Bhagat and Sachin Mittal have been arrested in connection on terms of medical negligence. The boy’s cause of death has not been confirmed by his post mortem however his viscera (soft internal organs of the body) have been kept for further examination. The doctors have currently been released on bail.

When asked for a response hospital CMD stated: “I have nothing to do with this incident. The matter is sub-judice and I do not want to comment on the issue.” The doctors in question face severe prison sentences if found guilty.
