Recently our Managing Director, Abbie Keech, sat down to answer a few questions about an exciting time for herself and the team – the company’s impending rebrand! Read the Q&A to find out what she had to say:
What are you most excited about in terms of the forthcoming rebranding?
“It gives us an opportunity for us to change our ethos. Showing that we’re thriving in our local community, adapting to meet the legal needs of our clients and emphasising what we can offer them with this new opportunity.”
What are your hopes for the new brand?
“I hope we’ll build on our existing local support, becoming the go-to solicitors in the area. Hopefully the refresh will not only reflect on us externally but internally – further uniting the team with our expanding vision going forward, pushing our services out to aid more people.”
Oakwood Solicitors is a workplace with a family atmosphere. How do you think we fit into the Oakwood community?
“We’re supportive of local businesses, community events like Oakwood Day and groups and charities such as Friends of Gipton Wood and St. Gemma’s Hospice. Then, of course, there’s our role as legal advisor for the local community.”
A rebranding is a major step for an established organisation. Do you have any concerns about its perception from a competitor standpoint?
“I do worry that the rebranding could potentially undo eighteen years’ worth of work under our existing name, but also I believe it’s something to be excited about. As well as our loyal clients, we’ll hopefully be able to reach out to a brand new audience simultaneously.”
Simplicity is key – can you sum up the new look in as few words as possible?
“Traditional law, modern way.”
Overall, what is it like being the Managing Director of an established yet growing law firm in Leeds?
“Exciting! Every day brings a new challenge. It’s inspiring to see young people blossom into professionals who then go on to become established solicitors and paralegals. The business is growing and tackling the ever-changing legal market, and I feel we can face it head-on with the great workforce we’re continuing to build.”
