The Employers Recognition Scheme (ERS) was launched in 2014 by the Prime Minister to recognise employer support for the Armed Forces Covenant. The awards recognise an employer’s contribution to supporting the Armed Forces community, including reserves, cadets, and military spouses and families.
To receive a silver award, an employer must have signed the Armed Forces Covenant, and must demonstrate that they actively ensure that their workforce is aware of their positive policies towards Defence personnel issues.
