Amazon Warehouse distribution centres are under fire with a potential risk of a protest by the Members of the GMB union on Monday afternoon (2nd December 2019). Due to the appalling conditions and treatment of their workers, in the run-up to Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
The number of workers injured due to poor health and safety standards is appalling.

Reports have been obtained of the accidents and safety incidents at Amazon centres across the country, and it is reported that more than 600 ambulance call-outs have been made over a three-year period, more than 600 serious incidents reported to the Health and Safety Executive, for injuries including fractures, head injuries, contusions and collisions with heavy equipment.
Jack Dromey, Labour’s Shadow Work Minister has described Amazon as:
“A supposed 21st-century company, Amazon is guilty of behaving like a 19th-century mill owner, putting its workers at risk in pursuit of profit… This cannot go on because deaths in Amazon will surely follow.”
