The car and motorbike accident compensation claims experts on Oakwood’s personal injury team have successfully secured over £2000.00 in compensation for Mr K.

A third party driver was responsible for Mr K sustaining painful injuries in a collision. Mr K was driving his car though a car park when a vehicle leaving a parking space collided with Mr K’s car. Mr K had right of way in the car park and did not by law have to stop and let the emerging vehicle out; Mr K may not have even seen the vehicle moving until it was too late. In a car park drivers who are on the roads between the spaces have right of way.

In light of this information Mr K was able to make a claim for personal injury compensation as he had been injured through no fault of his own. Oakwood Solicitors were able to secure a total amount of £2020.00 in personal injury recompense for Mr K. Accidents happen in car parks all the time at low speeds and even though the impacts are minor due to the low speed limit in car parks sometimes major injuries can be sustained.

You should seek advice immediately from the car and motorbike accident compensation claims experts at Oakwood if you want to start a case for personal injury compensation. Delaying in seeking legal advice could mean you miss out on the compensation you deserve.

A whiplash injury can be sustained even in a low impact collision; you do not necessarily have to be travelling a t a high speed in order to cause damage to the human body. Every person is different and will sustain a different degree of injury even at the same speeds.

The age of the person involved in an accident pays a large part in the level of injury sustained and older people generally are at higher risk of suffering for a longer period of time for a whiplash injury. Women as opposed to men are more likely to suffer a more severe degree of whiplash from a low impact collision as their necks are not as strong as men’s physically.

If you are involved in a low impact collision like the one Mr K had in the car park you may still sustain an injury even if you do not feel injured at the time. Following an incident of this nature you should always get the details of the responsible driver because although there may be no damage to your vehicle and you may feel fine symptoms of whiplash may develop several hours later. In this event it is useful to have the driver’s details in case you do decide to pursue an award.
