A Will is an important document to instruct your family or friends on how you would like to leave your property and possessions when you die. Without a valid Will in place, bereaved relatives could be left with a complex situation as Intestacy rules will apply to the estate.
The Intestacy rules are set out by the government but it may mean that your possessions are not split how you would like. For example, in some cases, your spouse may be granted all of your personal possessions, and your children may miss out.
But despite this, figures show that a lot of people have not got a Will in place, and many may have started writing one but have not finished it.
We know that writing a Will can be a daunting and emotional process, but it is vital to ensure your possessions are left to who you choose when you are no longer here.
Statistics from Lifetime Lawyer show that many people still need to write or finish writing their Will.
Oakwood Solicitors Ltd can assist you in writing your Will and provide you with the necessary advice.
