The CQC on inspection noticed many failures including the following:

The CQC in their report published stated:
“… The above demonstrates people’s medicines were not always managed in a safe way, which placed people at risk of harm. This was a breach of regulation 12 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.”
In summary, it was concluded both Regulation 12 HSCA RA Regulations 2014 Safe Care and Treatment and Regulation 17 HSCA RA Regulations 2014 Good Governance were not being met.
The CQC has requested Empowerment Care Ltd to send a report stating what action they are going to take to rectify this ahead of the CQC reviewing further.
