We regret to hear about the upcoming closure of Pudsey Legal, which has been announced this week. The firm is set to cease operations on 31 October 2024.

 

We understand that many clients of Pudsey Legal may have concerns regarding their legal matters, and we are here to assist you. Below, we address your questions about Wills and Property issues, and we’re happy to help with transferring your Will or storing it with us.

What will happen to the Wills and deeds you hold?

The current practice holding your Wills will inform you and provide you with options as to whether you would like to collect them or have them transferred to another firm or location.

 

Can I transfer my Will?

Yes, your Will is your document, and you have the right to choose where it is stored. We here at Oakwood Solicitors Ltd, provide this service for our clients.

 

Will I have to pay again?

You should check with the firm you choose for storage regarding any potential fees for this service. We here at Oakwood Solicitors confirm that we do not charge for storing original documents on behalf of our clients. If you need to make any changes to your Wills, you will be informed of any applicable fees.

 

Will I need to create a new Will?

No, you do not need to create a new Will. However, if you require changes  to be made to your existing Wills, your new firm will advise you on the best steps to take.
