We speak to Georgia to learn more about her achievement and her aspirations now that she has reached this huge milestone in her career.

When did you join the firm?
“I joined Oakwood Solicitors in April 2024.”
Which route did you take?
“I went down the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) route.”
When did you start your training journey?
“I started the teaching for the SQE in September 2024. I sat SQE1 in January 2025 and SQE2 in July 2025.”
What is your current role?
“I am now a Solicitor, but previous to my qualification I was a Paralegal within the Psychiatric Injury team.”
Are you staying in Psychiatric Injury/Stress? If not, what team will you be working in now that you are qualified?
“I am happily staying in Stress! I am excited to continue working in the team, building up my experience and settling cases.”
How does it feel to have qualified as a solicitor?
“A relief! It has also given me the confidence that I do know what I am doing.”
Is there anyone you would like to thank?
“I would like to thank the Stress team, and particularly Jessica Rowson. It wasn’t easy keeping up with my caseload when I was only working two days a week, but the team and Jessica really supported me through this and picked things up when I wasn’t here.
“I would also like to thank my partner, Will, who supported me in every way whilst I was studying, I really couldn’t have done it without him cheering me on!”
What are you most looking forward to in the next stage of your career?
“I am excited to continue developing my skills and to continue learning from the rest of my team.”
Are there any long-term career goals or areas you’d like to develop further?
“For now, I am happy and comfortable in the Stress team!”
Jessica Rowson, Solicitor, Director and Head of our Psychiatric Injury Department said:
