Intra-oral Dental X-Ray Units Manufactured by Trophy Risk of Falling.
The Intra-oral dental X-Ray Units have been reported to have a failure and pose a risk of falling.
The models affected have been manufactured between November 1990 and November 2004.
The serial numbers affected are IRIX 70 IRIX 708 Oramatic 558 or Novelix 6510.
There were modifications from 1995 – 2000 to try and stop the risk but there have now been reports that the Intra-oral Dental X-Ray Units are still failing.
The manufacturer of the machines hasn’t been able to confirm is all of the machines have had the changes made to them.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
- See if your device is affected
- Check if they have been modified by looking at the advice given by the FSN
- If your machine hasn’t been modified, stop using it.
- Make sure that the devices are maintained as recommended by referring the these instructions.
