The Late Premier League footballer, Jlloyd Samuel’s Probate documents have revealed that his £443,000 estate was only worth just over £120,000 after his debts and affairs were settled.

Samuel died leaving a Widow and three children, but no Will. The ex-Bolton player, 37, was killed instantly after a vehicle collision resulted in his Range Rover erupting into flames last May.

    Why such a difference?

Despite the shocking nature of Jlloyd Samuel’s passing, normal Probate fees and funeral expenses would apply to his estate. In addition to this are the debts of the individual which are required to be settled from the estate, this is quite often the root of financial issues resulting from the death of a loved one.

Leaving a Will – no matter what your age – can bring some form of comfort to those left behind. Not only does it make clear your wishes to your friends and loved ones, it can also help to mitigate family conflicts during an extremely stressful time.
