At Oakwood Solicitors, we believe the festive season is about more than just celebration; it’s about connection.
This year, we were delighted to launch a brand-new community initiative: a festive card-making project bringing together the creativity of local nurseries and the residents of Leeds care homes.
After reviewing dozens of wonderful, imaginative entries, we are thrilled to announce that the winner of the 2025 Official Oakwood Solicitors Christmas Card is:

The initiative, structured as a Christmas card creation competition for the children at the nurseries, serves a wonderful dual purpose:
1. The Official Firm Card:
All card entries will be judged to select the Official Oakwood Solicitors Christmas Card for 2025.
The winning design will be professionally printed and sent out to the firm’s clients and partners across the country, providing special recognition for the young artist and the nursery.
2. Spreading Cheer:
All the remaining beautiful, handmade cards have been distributed to residents at the nominated care homes across Leeds, ensuring a wave of festive good wishes reaches those in the local community who might appreciate it most.
This collaboration aims to deepen ties within the local community while bringing heartfelt, handmade Christmas cheer to residents in four Leeds care homes:
The cards were kindly created and crafted by the local nurseries:
By including each child’s name and their nursery, we were able to give these young creators the recognition they deserve while adding a personal touch to the residents’ handmade gifts.
The young creators were given full creative freedom for their card designs, with just a few important requirements:
This partnership is a complementary collaboration, aimed purely at fostering community spirit and providing a positive festive experience for both the children and the care home residents.
A spokesperson for Oakwood Solicitors stated: “We are committed to strengthening our relationship with the local community, and this project is a perfect way to do that.”
“It is a fantastic opportunity for the children to get creative, and for us to share their wonderful festive artwork with the residents of these valuable local care homes. We hope these handmade cards bring a lot of joy this holiday season.”
