Smiles Better Dentistry – BBC fake Google reviews report

    16:19, 3/8/2023

Home » News & Knowledge » Smiles Better Dentistry – BBC fake Google reviews report

In a continuation of the story we reported on yesterday, the BBC has looked into Smiles Better Dentistry in Manchester.

The company has been investigated for fake reviews that have been placed on Google. The BBC investigation has found that a number of reviews left on the website were to be considered fake. This was on the basis that the person that left the review has also left reviews in Australia, Sweden Canada and the US.

The BBC notes that Smiles Better had replied to some of the considered fake reviews with a thank you message. Smiles Better has not responded when contacted by the organisation.

Fake reviews on dental clinic websites could result in some people choosing to receive treatment that could have negative consequences. This is particularly worrisome with the rise of tele-dentistry and the rise of people receiving dental treatment whilst never seeing a dentist and not having the correct assessment.

If you or a loved one have received incorrect dental treatment whether this be from a Dentist Direct or an online dental clinic then please feel free to contact us and ask to speak to the Medical Negligence team.
