Accidents in the forms of slips, trips and tumbles occur to the best of us. These can occur in the workplace, in public, on the highway or live on national television as in the case of reality television star Gemma Collins.
Miss Collins, best known for her time on The Only Way is Essex, was presenting an award at the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards. Miss Collins announced Love Island had won the Best TV Show prize and appeared to do a celebratory dance. Seconds after, the Love Island stars appeared from a trapdoor beneath the stage, when Miss Collins tumbled down the trapdoor. Miss Collins was saved within minutes and avoided serious injuries.
After the incident, Miss Collins explained she was not aware a trapdoor was beneath her and had she known, the accident would have been avoided. Miss Collins is currently seeking medical attention.
