No Win No Fee
“No Win No Fee” is jargon commonly used by the legal profession to simplify an agreement entered into between solicitor and client known as a Conditional Fee Agreement (CFA).
In summary, “No Win No Fee” simply means that if the client does not win their case, then the solicitor will not charge them for the time spent on their behalf – it’s worth noting that a solicitor can spend many £’000’s on a single case.
CFA’s were introduced in 1995 with the abolition of legal aid for Personal Injury cases.
This stopped the process of claimants having to apply for means tested access to legal help for personal injury claims.
Our solicitors may take your case on a CFA or “no win no fee” basis meaning you have nothing to lose if your case is not successful.
With Personal Injury, if you win your claim your solicitor will earn their money from the opposing party, typically an insurance company; if we lose your compensation claim, and providing you have not misled us, you will not pay anything.
No Win No Fee agreements (CFA’s) provide access to justice for all – meaning we are able to fight on your behalf to obtain the compensation you deserve regardless of your financial circumstances.
At Oakwood Solicitors we offer our No Win No Fee compensation claims service on more than just Personal Injury claims – in fact we are more than happy to take on most work under no win no fee, meaning that claiming is a no financial risk solution for you.
One of our legal team will assess your claim on a No Win No Fee basis, we will then tell you how successful your claim is likely to be. This service is 100% free and confidential.
We have No Win No Fee based in our offices in Leeds, but we take on claims on behalf of claimants throughout England and Wales.
‘No Win, No Fee’ Compensation Claims
With No Win, No Fee claims, we assess your claim on its merits with the information you provide us; this helps us to determine your likely success rate. Using this success rate your Solicitor will inform you on whether they can take your case on a ‘No Win, No Fee’ basis.
If we feel we can’t take it on under this agreement then your solicitor will talk you through the options that you have available to you, and still allow you to pursue your claim.
Oakwood Solicitors are members of the Law Society Personal Injury Panel, and we are authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority – SRA Number 512897
