    Our highly regarded North Leeds firm is looking for a Head of Department to oversee the New Claims Team. We are passionate about providing our clients with the best possible legal advice and representation.

    We have a strong track record of success in personal injury cases, and we are committed to helping our clients get the compensation they deserve. The New Claims Team is the first point of contact for most of our clients.

     

    People management

    • Make sure all team members have enough work, monitoring work flow hourly, sharing work between them
    • Sort rotas, amend/cover shifts
    • Team training
    • Recruitment
    • Monitor staff performance for call standards
    • Appraisals
    • Arrange for team members to work in other departments whilst making sure vetting team are covered

     

    Day to day running of the department

    • Distribute emails and workload to team
    • Monitoring incoming emails from website
    • Incoming emails from CMCs, where they provide additional/missing information
    • Make sure access databases are up to date and logged
    • Send out daily updates to CMCs
    • Help with chasing existing clients
    • Help with answering phones
    • Reviewing RTA and CICA completed enquiries
    • Accepting and rejecting RTA and CICA – Liaise with Head of Personal Injury on files they are unsure of
    • Monitoring multiple mail boxes – documents, ML vets, Stress vets, HCUK vets
    • Run additional MIDs and AskQs for file handlers
    • Liaise with all departments
    • Hoowla quotes for Property team
    • Daily and monthly tally of completed vets and sending out incentive emails

     

    Additional duties

    • Create new CMCs on the system
    • Liaise with admin for additional chasing for CFAs for evening staff
    • Create new departments when they arise on Proclaim
    • Modify and change vet forms once liaised with departments
    • Ad-hoc duties, such as additional chasing for different departments, chasing BACs, finding work during quiet spells

     

    Hours of work

    Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

     

    Salary

    Negotiable.
