Stephanie Stokes
Nurse Paralegal in Clinical Negligence – Medical Negligence
Stephanie joined Oakwood Solicitors in 2025 as a Clinical Negligence Nurse Paralegal within the Medical Negligence team.
She has a professional background in nursing (former Sister, Specialist, and Registered nurse), teaching, and healthcare risk governance. Stephanie specialises in medical records analysis, chronology development, breach of duty and causation assessment, applying clinical expertise alongside knowledge of NICE guidance and patient safety standards to support complex case investigation.
Her combined clinical and legal experience enables her to approach cases with both analytical rigour and a strong understanding of the patient journey.
Stephanie is currently undertaking the SQE pathway towards qualification as a Solicitor and has a particular interest in clinical negligence litigation and improving healthcare safety.
Outside of her legal work, Stephanie brings lived experience as both a breast cancer survivor and a parent of four children, including a child with additional needs. This perspective informs her empathetic and client-focused approach.
She is known for her collaborative approach and commitment to supporting clients through challenging circumstances.
